Who Will Win the Contest?

Winners of the One-Sentence Summary Contest will be announced TOMORROW, Monday.

On Tuesday, I’ll be discussing one-sentence summaries in further detail, and critiquing a handful of the entries. Be sure and let me know if you DON’T want your entry critiqued on the blog (just in case I choose yours).

Thanks for a very informative blog. What else may I get that kind of info written in such an ideal manner? I have a challenge that I am just now running on, and I’ve been on the look out for such information.

    >I didn't enter but some members of my writing group did, and I'm looking forward to seeing the winners!

  7. Erika Robuck on June 6, 2010 at 9:29 PM

    >Ooh, I'd love some critiquing.

I can't wait until tomorrow to see the winners. There were so many fabulous pitches!

  8. Jesse on June 6, 2010 at 8:26 PM

    >I, too, would love to have mine critiqued. It's all good–learning how to write a successful opening–and no crits are ever wasted.

  9. Messy mommy on June 6, 2010 at 7:16 PM

    >I agree with the others–a critique is always a great consolation prize. *crossing my fingers*

  10. Karen Adair on June 6, 2010 at 6:00 PM

    >Woo hoo! Like others have said. Even if I don't win I hope my entry gets critiqued so I know how to make it better. That's a win as well!!!!

  11. Steena Holmes on June 6, 2010 at 5:13 PM

    >I'll be looking forward to this!

  12. tessaquin on June 6, 2010 at 4:53 PM

    >I kind of feel sorry for you for having to choose from a staggering 517 entries. I can't wait to see the results and critiques.

  15. Josin L. McQuein on June 6, 2010 at 3:59 PM

    >Looking forward to your comments on whichever ones you choose. It's always great to see what does and doesn't work – and why – from the POV of a pro.

  16. scarlettprose on June 6, 2010 at 3:50 PM

    >Yes, please feel free to flay me alive. And thanks in advance for this added bonus to entering the contest.

  17. A. Grey on June 6, 2010 at 3:34 PM

    >I'm very excited! Good luck to everyone! And like Jane Steen, I hope that my entry DOES get critiqued! I just want to know how it comes across to others.

  18. Superbadfriend on June 6, 2010 at 3:23 PM

    >How exciting! Best of luck to everyone who entered. 🙂

  19. Jane Steen on June 6, 2010 at 3:17 PM

    >I'm hoping my entry DOES get critiqued! I need someone to thicken my hide for the rejections yet to come.

  20. Lisa K. on June 6, 2010 at 2:37 PM

    >I'm very much looking forward to seeing the winners and the critiques. Even for those of us who don't win (or get critiqued), I'm guessing this will be a great learning experience. And what an impressive batch of entries to choose from!

  21. Jessica Nelson on June 6, 2010 at 1:14 PM

    >Can't wait to see who wins! There were some great entries.

  22. Webmaster on June 6, 2010 at 12:33 PM

  23. Shelli on June 6, 2010 at 12:27 PM

    >Oh, critiques are almost as good as winning! I'm looking forward to those posts.

  24. Jay DiNitto on June 6, 2010 at 11:55 AM

    >Mine won't win…there were a LOT of great one-sentences. People bein' all talented and such.
