Thanks for the reminder of what this Christmas mayhem is really all about, Rachelle. I spent an exhausting day yesterday battling around the supermarket with all the other stressed out shoppers preparing for the festive season. What joy if we could all have paused for a few minutes and done what that shopping crowd in California did. It brought tears to my eyes. A blessed Christmas season to you and your family.
I was so moved by this. Thanks, Rachelle, for sharing it with us. May your Christmas — and all those who comment here and all people everywhere — be filled with the blessings, joy and grace of “God with us!” Wow. How amazing is that. God with us.
Two thousand years ago a Baby was born in a barn with a food trough as His bed. Today people sing His praises on escalators in upscale malls. Only God could accomplish a feat like this.
Also, flash mobs are the Christmas carolers of old. I love it!

Great way to start my day! Thanks for sharing this. Bringing in the baby and having the people around him fall to their knees brought tears to my eyes. And doing it in front of Santa proved Who is truly more important. Lovely.

We live in a fast-paced world. Right now, most everyone is rushing around trying to get everything done for Christmas.
Isn’t it amazing what can happen when we take time to smell the roses? Acts of kindness or inspiration crop up at moments we don’t expect. Bands of people can be brought together to celebrate life unexpectedly.
The power of life and Christ is unique.
This is a beautiful reminder.
It’s also important for each of us to realize that we too have the power to bring a smile to someone’s face, even in the midst of the stress of the holiday season.

Thanks for sharing. I loved it – also chills and tears. The mall is a few blocks from where my younger daughter and her husband live, and the church turns out to be the first home church of a good friend of ours. Special in many ways! So I posted it to my blog, too.
